Babies training -walkthrough-

I managed to take some screenshots this time and made a little walkthrough

1 - the sketch

not much to say, I go from a very rough sketch to a quite detailed one with an already sketched out bg

2 - the lineart

I normally line in a different colour than the sketch. This time I had a greyish sketch, so I used a purple line, so I can see everything properly^^ I also set the opacity of the sketchlayer on about 50% while lining

3 - the basecolours

First of all I fill the lines with the basic colours of the horse (Babys pretty brown ; ) ), then add all the other colours.

4 - the background

When to do this step depends on my mood^^ Sometime before I do the shading, mostly afterwards. I always do them in the same order
- sky
- forrest/hills/mountains OR ocean/lake
- grass/sand

and adding what I need inbetween, like the fence here^^

5 - the shading

I duplicate the colourlayer, fill it with grey or any other colour. Afterwards I add highlights and so on. I either do a quite detailed one like above, or only a simply one with only a few highlights were the sun is. After this step, I set the opacity of the shadinglayer (which lays above the basecolours) on about 35-40%

6 - the finished image

That's it^^ I'm done after adding an optional border and my watermarm
